Autograph of George Grosz (1893-1959) German artist known for his caricatural drawings and paintings. Autograph being a 1pp ALS in ink dated November 15, 1946 on "202 Shore Road, Douglaston, Long Island" letterhead to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kahn of Maryland. Letter regards sending a painting of his that they purchased explaining delay. Letter is accompanied by original mailing envelope that exhibits a gummed seal that shows a illustration by Grosz. Letter exhibits folds and some toning. Letter measures 7.25" x 5.5". Letter purchased by consignor from autograph dealer Catherine Barnes of Philadelphia in November 1989.
