Cased Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver with Accoutrements

Cased Colt Model 1849 Pocket revolver bearing the serial #331108 (matching serial numbers) in .31 caliber percussion. Pistol presents a 4" octagonal barrel. Top of barrel present one-line stamping"ADDRESS COL. SAM COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA". with left side of frame stamped "COLTS/PATENT in two lines. The cylinder is stamped"COLTS PATENT No" followed by serial number and is engraved with a stagecoach robbery scene. Serial number indicates that the pistol was manufactured in 1873. Pistol exhibits almost all of its bluing and case hardening and retains much of its silver plating on the trigger guard and backstrap. Trigger guard silvering exhibits some slight loss. Pistol housed in original case containing eagle flask, mold, and cap box. Case measures 5.75" x 9.75" x 2" and presents original key. Gun would rate excellent in NRA antique firearms standards.
