Colt Model 1860 Army revolver bearing the serial #33314 (matching serial numbers) in .44 caliber percussion. Pistol presents an 8" round barrel and is fit for shoulder stock. Top of barrel present one-line stamping"ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT, NEW YORK US AMERICA". with left side of frame stamped "COLTS/PATENT in two lines. The cylinder is stamped"COLTS PATENT No" followed by serial number and"PATENT SEPT 10th, 1850" and is engraved with a scene of a naval engagement. Serial numbers indicate that the pistol was manufactured in 1862. Left grip of the pistol exhibits light inspector's mark. Pistols exhibit much of its original bluing and case hardening with some areas exhibiting rainbow toning. Pistol butt has capability for stock attachment. Pistol exhibits slight rub on barrel center, some really light abrasions to wood grips and toning to brass. Gun would rate excellent in NRA antique firearms standards. Provenance: Gary S.
