George III sterling silver pedestal footed sauce tureen, decorated with repousse swag framing cartouches and accented by rosettes, with beaded borders and fluted split handles terminating in acanthus leaves, featuring an engraved crest of a phoenix rising from a ducal coronet, possibly related to the Seymour family. Marked to the foot rim for London, 1777, by John Denzilow. The married cover is decorated with gadroons and features an applied ring handle in the form of a wreath with a shell terminal flanked by acanthus. Marked to the interior cover and to the exterior handle for London, 1820, by Paul Storr. The cover is slightly warped. 5.75"h x 9"w x 4.25"d. 20.44 ozt
