17 1/2" Papier mache German "Foxy Grandpa" character doll. Possibly Cuno & Otto Dressel. Papier mache socket head and 5 pc. papier mache body with separate hands. Molded/painted features, very distinctive blue eyes, grey hair and glasses. Dressed in original 2 pc. blue wool outfit of vest and pants. White cotton shirt with cufflinks, stud at neck. Black silk tie. Black oilcloth shoes (buckle missing). Coin hanging from belt reads 1876? Condition: loss on end of nose. Repaint on very top of head. Age loss on back of vest (silk taffeta). This is a wonderful piece! This lot is being sold AS IS.
