22LR, 28" Custom heavy bbl, SN 35869. 85% blue finish on barrel shows large areas of heavy freckling with area of moderate pitting at front of forearm, good bore, left side of breech marked BY E. CHEEK. SPRINGFIELD. O. Target scope/sight bases installed with no provisions for open sights, silver/gray falling block receiver shows small areas of case color finish with octagon receiver ring, left side of receiver marked in 2 lines MARLIN FIRE ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN CT. U.S.A. / BALLARD'S PATENT NOV 5 1861. Custom wood target stock with exaggerated cheek rest and forearm with adjustable accessory mounting rail with badly deteriorated plastic/bakelite nose cap and 1 aluminum forearm hand stop and steel wrist sling loop, wood pistol grip block is attached to tail of lever, comes with additional aluminum schutzen style shoulder hook and adjustable butt plate (both with dovetails however the rifle stock does not have the matching dovetail groove to use them). Rifle shows light mold staining and storage issues. 13 5/8" LOP, very light 1 lb trigger pull. Good condition. Antique
