Barnum & Bailey Circus poster, circa 1914. "Season 1914" written in pencil upper right. Some darkening on the folds noted. Written up in several newspapers in the early 1910s, Madame Olympia Desvall was noted as a “graceful rider with a troupe of well-trained dogs.” By the time she joined Barnum & Bailey, her act had evolved to include horses, ponies, and birds, all of which would follow her around the ring, performing various adorable tricks.
