The Carol Schwartz Gallery began nearly 30 years ago in the Chestnut Hill Area of Philadelphia offering an eclectic collection of fine art, Judaica, and vintage posters. They recently closed their doors at the remaining North Wales location. Through our two-part auction, buyers will have an opportunity to bid on some of the final pieces of this admired art gallery. Some of the available items feature noted artists such as New York based photographer Jordan Matter. Matter is a highly sought after portrait photographer for actors, dancers, and circus performers. The auction features many of his signature shots, some signed and professionally framed. Other offerings include local Palmerton watercolor artist, William Wesley Wentz and Israeli artist, Arona Reiner. There are also some beautiful hand knotted Israeli rugs available. Take advantage of this chance to fill your home with some truly unique pieces from an esteemed local gallery.

The Alderfer staff is at pick up to provide light assistance to ALL of our buyers. Buyers are responsible for bringing help to move and load furniture and other large items. Please be respectful of the home and property at pick up. You are responsible for damage caused directly by you or your help.
We do not supply tools or packing materials. Please review all of the photos of your lots so that you are prepared with tools for any necessary disassembly, and enough boxes and packing materials for your purchases.
Pick-up times are scheduled prior to the auction opening so that you are able to make arrangements to remove your purchases during that time. The advertised pick-up times are the only times available for removal of your items. No refunds will be given should items purchased fail to be picked up during the advertised pick-up time frame.
Delivery and Pick Up Options:
If you are in need of your purchase being brought back to Alderfer Auction for pick up at our facility, or would like the item(s) delivered to your home, please call Hayley Schaffer at 267-638-1048 or email Hayley@AlderferAuction.com for the handling and delivery fees for your particular lot(s). Some items, due to their size or weight, may not be eligible for delivery. We cannot offer delivery on the same day as pick up. Items will be brought back to Alderfer Auction and delivered on a future business day.
Fees for Items Brought Back to Alderfer Auction for Pick Up
• Single Item Requiring Minimal to no Packing: $10
• One Packed Box: $15
• Furniture: $25 - $100+ Depending on Size of Item
• Large Groupings of Closet Items, China, Glassware, Books, Tools, Etc. are charged according to quantity and time taken to pack and remove items. Prices will vary.
Please call us to arrange these services no later than 24 hours prior to the auction pick-up time so that our staff is prepared with the proper vehicle and supplies needed to pack and transport your purchases. Requests made after staff is on site may not be honored.
If the items have not been removed from Alderfer's two weeks following the auction pick up day, they will be considered abandoned and the purchase price will not be refunded to the buyer.
