Fine Art Week concludes on Day 3 with décor, furniture, collections of historical and nautical items, and artwork. Decoratives take center stage with selections of Tiffany. Add class and charm to your dining table with varieties of Louis Comfort Tiffany “Favrile” art glass or complete your home office with the Tiffany Studios “Zodiac” desk set. More varieties of décor include Baccarat, Moser and Lalique glass, Herend and Royal Crown Derby porcelain, a Louis Vuitton Flat Top Steamer Trunk, a 19th c. Italian Micro Mosaic Cross, Multiple Atmos and Hamilton Naval Chronometers, and an Amphora Elite vase.

The historical section of the sale includes Civil War, Whaling and Nautical items from two prominent collections. Items from the Gary Wolfer American Civil War collection include signed CDV’s of Ulysses S. Grant, Winfield Scott Hancock, Gettysburg hero John Burns, William Tecumseh Sherman, and Robert Anderson. Tintypes and ambrotypes include Confederate and Union soldiers. There’s also Identification pins, discs, and corps badges. Belt plates include CS, US, OVM, VMM, SNY and others. Other collectibles include Eagle head spurs, triple-border captain’s rank straps, an identified pipe for an officer in the 6th New Hampshire Infantry, stencils, a button collection, a presentation watch to a Massachusetts chaplain, and other identified items and artifacts.
Highlights from the Estate of Charles LeKites include Whaling and nautical related journals and receipt books as well as early 19th century nautical documents related to various commercial ships and their operations. There’s also early 19th century folk art sketchbooks and an autographed document of Robert Morris, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Take a look at the Intricate early 19th century bone chess sets and cribbage boards, collections of ships in bottles, World War I nautical related archives, carved shells, and knives and canes including a GAR presentation cane.
Concluding the sale is a curated selection of art including bronzes and sculptures by Franz Bergman, Joe Brown, Paul Silvestre, Richard MacDonald, David Huenergardt, Val Bertoia, and others. Read Before Bidding | Live Online Auctions
Auction is open for pre-bidding until Thursday, September , at which time pre-bidding will cease and the auction will go live at the auction center (no live audience, just our auctioneer and auction staff). When the auction goes live, lots will be sold one at a time, in numerical order, by a live auctioneer who will be taking bids from multiple online bidding platforms, absentee and phone bids. During pre-bidding you are able to submit a max (maximum) bid. The bidding platform or our auction staff will bid on your behalf up to the maximum bid that you have entered. Once the auction goes live if you wish to increase your bid you will have to wait until that lot opens for bidding and enter any additional bids manually.
Pick-Up: Successful Bidders will be notified to schedule a curbside pick up following the auction.
