This coin auction features a selection of U.S. coins, gold coins, silver coins, proof sets, mint sets, and currency. The catalog includes Morgan silver dollars, Peace dollars, Washington quarters, Roosevelt dimes, Franklin half dollars, Kennedy half dollars, and Eisenhower dollars. Silver coinage is heavily represented with multiple lots of pre-1964  silver coins. Morgan and Peace silver dollars appear in both individual and grouped lots. U.S. Mint proof sets and mint sets are offered across multiple years, including grouped sets in original packaging. Commemorative coins and collector sets are also included. Alderfer Auction is offering a 2-part Lancaster, PA Single Owner Collection on April 16th. Part 1 features an extensive inventory of vintage toys, regional textiles, primitives, collectibles, and silver, with a primary focus on Steiff animals and antique quilts. The toy selection is led by a massive variety of Steiff mohair animals, including early 20th-century teddy bears with shoe-button eyes, poodles, rabbits, and hand puppets. Our March 18 Mid-Century Modern & Design auction saw spirited global bidding, proving that exceptional provenance and craftsmanship always command center stage. Finn Juhl and Phillip Lloyd Powell drew especially competitive bidding. A pair of Finn Juhl for Niels Vodder Model 109 chairs soared to $36,250 against an $8,000 high estimate, while the Finn Juhl “Judas” dining table realized $31,250 and a pair of Model 53 easy chairs brought $28,750.  A Finn Juhl Model 53 sofa also performed well at $20,000. The Pennsylvania Studio Craft movement continues to be a powerhouse, led by the incredible works of Phillip Lloyd Powell: One sculpted cabinet sold for $28,750, another cabinet reached $26,250, and a room divider achieving $21,250. Ready to Consign? These results aren't just numbers—they are a testament to our targeted global marketing and specialized expertise. Take a look at some of the phenomenal highlights from our March Fine & Decorative Arts auction-  From breathtaking fine art to dazzling jewelry and luxury antiques, the results speak for themselves. The sale was led by exceptional demand for works by Edward Willis Redfield and Fern Isabel Coppedge. Redfield’s Lot 4215 realized $98,240, while another Redfield work, Lot 4220, brought $68,750, exceeding its high estimate. Coppedge paintings also performed strongly, with one example reaching $65,625 and another realizing $50,000. Silver was another standout category, led by Tiffany & Co. A Tiffany “San Lorenzo” sterling silver flatware service for 12 with extras realized $34,375, well above estimate, while a Tiffany “Chrysanthemum” flatware service sold for $18,750. A Tiffany sterling silver aesthetic tea and coffee service added further depth to the category at $12,500. Jewelry saw strong competition throughout the sale. A platinum diamond ring weighing 5.29 carats realized $46,875, and a Cartier platinum diamond brooch achieved $15,000. Luxury accessories also posted impressive results, highlighted by a Louis Vuitton travel trunk that sold for $31,250, far surpassing its estimate. Ready to Consign?
