DESCRIPTION:The Mid-Century Modern Auction brings together a strong sele
 ction of furniture\, sculpture\, lighting\, artwork\, and decora
 tive design. Furniture entries include a Herman Miller LCW 
 chair by Charles & Ray Eames\, Niels Koefoed’s “Lis” 
 teak dining chairs\, the Hans Olsen Frem Røjle “Roundette
 ” dining set\, and American Mid-Century pieces such as the
  Broyhill “Brasilia” breakfront and Brasilia serving 
 cart. An Edward Wormley for Dunbar dining table adds anoth
 er well-known designer to the group. Sculpture and art featu
 re prominently with a Harry Bertoia Sonambient sound sculpt
 ure\, a work by Reg Butler\, and Erte’s “Astra” bronz
 e. Artwork also includes prints and pieces by Andy Warhol 
 and Alex Katz\, adding important American postwar figures to
  the auction. Studio pottery appears with the recognizable 
 McCarty’s Pottery hippo sculpture and several other ceram
 ic forms. Lighting and design objects include the Shiro Kur
 imata for Yamagiwa “K-Series” lamp\, along with modern me
 talwork\, table lighting\, and mixed-material décor. Addition
 al entries include Murano glass\, kiln-formed glass\, fused ch
 argers\, teak furnishings\, rattan seating\, tile-top coffee ta
 bles\, and wrought-iron outdoor pieces. A Jaeger-LeCoultre r
 hodium-plated Atmos clock adds a technical design component
  to the sale.
